Today Room 21 learnt how to create a personal bio sidebar image. They learnt a range of skills including how to download a picture as a .png file and add it as an image gadget on the sidebar of their blog. All students made a commendable effort to complete this task, and will become more proficient and independent as they work with these types of files more often.

Today Room 21 learnt how to write positive, thoughtful, and helpful blog comments. They were given guidance around how to achieve such comments e.g. Starting with a greeting to write positively. While majority of learners still need support around producing helpful comments, many students wrote positive feedback, and some were able to make thoughtful remarks. Practising writing these kinds of comments will be a key focus for the remainder of the term.
Today in Room 21, we had an absolute blast becoming screenshot superstars! We kicked off a super fun screenshot challenge, and everyone did an amazing job showing off their digital detective skills.
The mission? To hunt down our favorite subjects, websites, colors, and sports online, take a bunch of screenshots, and then get creative by popping them all into a slide. But the best part? We used those screenshots to create our very own, totally unique screenshot creatures!
It was so cool to see all the different things everyone chose to screenshot. Some of us found incredible animals, while others captured images of their favorite games or even delicious foods. And then, watching those screenshots transform into amazing creatures was pure magic! From multi-colored monsters to sporty specters, the creativity was off the charts.

In week 7, all learners in Room 21 brilliantly opened Google Drive and created new Word Docs.
Every student but one bravely tackled voice typing!
While some found word recognition tricky, everyone showed great perseverance.
This is where real learning happens!
Check out each learners mahi they worked on, in their blog links on the right side bar.

The learners in the class learned to write about their family in Te Reo Maori and in English using the template below. The learners enjoyed typing the Toku whanau in both languages, add page colour, take a screenshot and upload it to their individual blogs. I am so proud of the learners in Room 21.
